The Factory

From the beginning of her career, Betty has designed and built her own work.

Whether working in clay, casting bronze, or doing her own arc welding, she's always been meticulous about maintaining only the highest standards in craftsmanship. So when, in the early 1980s, her commissions and her sculptures began to outgrow her studio, she enlisted a factory in Gardena, California, to help in the construction of her larger pieces.

Choosing to fabricate her larger pieces in a factory enabled her to grow her career, and to go on to build the monumental sculpture she's best known for.
