Museo Arte Contemporanea of Catania, Sicily

Betty traveled to Italy in October, 2018, to personally deliver a sculpture to the Museo Arte Contemporanea in Catania, Sicily.

The piece was given to the Museum by Dr. Jim Doti of Chapman University in Orange, Ca, and his wife, Dr. Lynne Doti, also of Orange, in honor of Jim Doti’s late mother, Carmelina Siracusa Doti, who was born in Catania but emigrated to the United States in 1925.

The Museum was extremely appreciative of Dr. Doti’s generous donation and felt privileged to dedicate the maquette in memory of Dr. Doti’s beloved mother; they were also overjoyed at having the artist herself deliver the piece to them in person.
